Forever Ago released on October 8, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2 — and on Xbox Game Pass from day one, which makes the Xbox version the cheapest way onto the road. Here's the full picture.

Price and the launch discount
- Standard price: $19.99 / €19.99.
- Launch discount: 10% off through the introductory offer, which runs until October 22, 2026 — check your store for the local equivalent.
- Soundtrack fans: Clark Aboud's (Slay the Spire, Kind Words) score is sold as a separate Steam soundtrack DLC.
- There's also a Forever Ago × Outbound bundle on Steam if you want two cosy van-life games in one basket.
Game Pass from day one
If you're on Game Pass, Forever Ago is included at launch on both console and PC. It's a short, spoiler-fragile story, so the Game Pass route is ideal for playing in one or two sit-downs. One practical note from the launch-week forums: some security suites take issue with the executable on Game Pass PC — if a false positive blocks launch, whitelist the game folder.
Languages
The full thirteen-language list includes: English (full audio), French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain and Latin America), Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, and both Simplified and Traditional Chinese. Text and subtitles ship in all thirteen; the fully voiced audio is English.
Everything else in the box
- 29 achievements / trophies, mostly hidden — the list leans on the camera and optional scenes.
- Autosave only — no manual save slots to manage.
- Playable without timed input, plus a stack of accessibility-minded settings (subtitle options, camera comfort, custom volume).
- Three-to-five hours for the story; five to six if you chase every vignette.
